Minimize Adjectives

Why were adjectives invented if we can’t use them?

Writer’s learn very (adjective) early on, to minimize the use of annoying (adjective) Adjectives. Apparently, they’re completely (adjective) unnecessary. But sometimes, you need to use an adjective to get the right emphasis into your scenes.

Usually in dialog.

Don’t think about wiping every little (adjective) adjective out of your writing. People use adjectives for emphasis – apparently a completely (adjective) wrong way to speak, but that’s what the average person does.

think of it as MINIMIZING adjectives. The rule is – in dialog, yes, in narrative, no.

Unless you’re trying for weak (adjective) writing.
