Comment Policy

Your comments and thoughts here are welcome!

However…

Nobody wants to be flamed or criticized, or harassed by trolls! So, here’s some guidelines to make sure everyone plays nice, play’s fair, nobody gets hurt!

criticize ideas, not people.

So, remember to avoid:

  • name-calling
  • ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content.
  • Take ten seconds to think about it before you respond to someone, or about the article!

Comments that we find to be hateful, inflammatory, or harassing may be removed. If you don’t have something nice to say about another user, don’t say it. Treat others the way you’d like to be treated.

Always strive to add value to every interaction and discussion you participate in

If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

Don’t Feed the Trolls

If someone’s being a troll – ignore them. It drives them nuts, and they’ll go somewhere else to get a reaction.

No Self-promotion

A discussion or comment that contains only a link to your blog, a product, or your article on another site will almost always be removed.

From time to time, I encourage writers to post links to their blogs – please look for those posts to add your very-welcome link to! Don’t just add them at random, or people won’t know where to look for them!

No cursing!

I’m sorry, but I feel very strongly about foul language. It’s uncalled for, it’s not nice, and it makes you look less respectable and less professional, and you’ll get bad breath from it too.

If you can’t say something nice…

Personal attacks and harassment will not be tolerated. Comments or discussions written intentionally to provoke will also be removed.
