Writing For an Author’s Blog

When I started this website, I knew I’d have to write posts every day at first to get some content. I decided a schedule of writing five posts a week after that, and so, after – I don’t know, a year – I started on the schedule. Very faithful.

My current career that pays my bills sometimes has very pronounced periods of activity that sometimes take all of my attention and time for up to a month at a time. These have interfered with my schedule, as did a lengthy illness last winter that had me bedridden for two weeks.

As you probably have noticed, I’ve had one of those periods of work activity that took all my available time. I’m writing this on May 5, coming off a stretch of working 13 days in a row – no days off. Three of those days were 12 hour work days. Another was eleven. Few of those days were only eight hours long.

So from time to time you may notice I miss some days of writing posts. I manage to maintain a consistent writing schedule. You should notice most of the time I’m able to continue to post new content on the website. In case you’re interested, the schedule is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Now that this website is starting to get some daily traction, I’m actually considering reducing output to four posts per week to create a bigger slush pile of articles to pre-schedule during these hectic times where I don’t get two days off every weekend (that’s when I write all my social media content and this website!).

Stay tuned – more great content coming!
