Recovering

One of the hardest things to recover for a writer can simply be – recovering from attack on a public forum.

It is then that you realize – no matter how much people claim to like you on a public forum, nobody is going to defend you. If someone has decided to bully you, there’s not going to be anyone to help.

Take time off? Yes, absolutely. Recover. Regroup.

There’s no need to remain a member of a writer’s group where you are repeatedly attacked by the same persons, and nobody did anything to help. By all means, cross that group off and don’t go back, no matter how much they may beg you.

Why? It’ll happen again.

But be aware of this – if you’re really a writer, the ideas don’t stop. They continue.

And sooner or later, you’re going to have to finish working on those ideas.

You’re going to have to write those novels.

You can’t stop.

It’s who you are.

It’s who you were designed to be.
